Here’s what we have announced in the Albufeira Ultimate Events Package.
Albufeira is super relaxed.
No dress code stress here, just your standard night out clothes will suit just fine.
For bars & clubs on The Strip:
- Shorts, tees, co-ords, dresses – anything goes.
- Trainers are totally fine.
- Football shirts? Usually okay, but it depends on the venue.
- Heels? Only if you really want. The roads are not heel-friendly and we want to last all night now don’t we?
Also if you have your events booked make sure you check out if your event has any specific dress code – so far in Albufeira we have the Agenda Beach Club Party which is an all black dress code and Agenda White Party, which is an all white dress code.
You can be 17 years old at the time of your holiday to Albufeira as long as your group has an 18 year old lead booker. If you’re 17 you will be sent over a parental consent form to fill out before your trip.

About Albufeira
Albufeira has TWO main nightlife areas, and although they’re both completely different, they’re both definitely worth checking out:
Montechoro…or better known as The Strip
This is where the carnage happens.
Neon bars, cheap drinks, dance floors spilling onto the street, and events that you don’t want to miss at huge clubs such as Heaven Night Club and Club Tropicana.
Think bar crawls, clubs, and “how are we still out?” energy every night.
Old Town
More chilled but still lively and definitely worth a visit with cocktail bars, live music, rooftop views, beach bars, and cute squares full of people drinking outside.
Perfect for a warm-up night or if the group wants something less chaotic and instagrammable.
Party Hard Tip:
Book your hotel near the strip as that’s where most of the events are going to be held!
Faro Airport is around 35–40 minutes from Albufeira. You’ve got a few options:
- Private transfers: Best for groups. Cheap when split and drops you at your hotel.
- Shared shuttles: Budget-friendly but slower so if you’re racing to get straight out, make sure you have your pres ready!
- Taxis/Ubers: Easy, fast, but pricier at peak times, so make sure you agree on a set fare before jumping straight in.
- Buses: Super cheap but not ideal when you’re carrying a year’s worth of outfits, but if you’re on that tight budget you can stick it out and award yourself with a drink or three later.
Best option for party holidays?
Private transfer every time. No waiting around, no stress, straight to the pool or club. Remember to get talking on the plane or in the airport you can fare share with people around.
Albufeira is one of the safer party destinations, BUT:
- The Strip gets busy and messy late at night which means a rowdy crowd.
- Pickpockets occasionally operate in crowded areas so make sure you keep your phone safe and have find my iphone activated for emergencies.
- Don’t leave bags on the beach at night — they will disappear.
- Watch out for random street sellers (just ignore and keep walking!).
Stick with your group, keep bags zipped, and you’ll be absolutely fine, look at life 360 to keep your location on for you and your friends at all times.
Nope!
Unlike some of our other spanish destinations Barcelona or Ibiza, Albufeira doesn’t hit you with a nightly tourist tax (at least not currently).
One less thing to worry about when checking in and one less thing to spend your hard earned money on.
Alongside your normal holiday bits:
- EU plug adapters (not UK plugs!)
- Comfy sandals or trainers – you’ll walk loads and the roads aren’t too stable
- Beach shoes if you’re hitting the rocky coves, I don’t think the Primark sandals will be your best friend for this one
- Portable/Hand held fan – Portugal hits 30°C+ easy and you don’t want to waste your time getting all fresh and ready to head out to be hit with unbearable sweat in places you didn’t realise you could even sweat
- Mini first aid bits for nightlife-related injuries, there will be pharmacies and doctors available but it’s usually more expensive in destination so make sure you are a little prepared to save some extra money
- Cross-body bag for nights on The Strip, keep that phone out of your back pocket and instead zipped away in a trusty bag
- A hoodie/light layer – evenings can get breezy out of peak season and there is nothing worse than being chilly on your holiday
Albufeira is cheaper than most big party destinations which is why it was in our Top 5 Party Hard destinations last year.
A rough guide:
- €40–€70 per day depending on your drinking habits and depending on if you’re treating yourself by securing VIP at one of the events
- Pints: €2–€5
- Cocktails: €6–€10
- Club entry: often free or small fees unless it’s a special event or included in your events wristband if you book them before you go
- Taxis around the resort: €6–€12
Party Hard Tip:
Prebook your main events so your weekly spending money is ONLY for food, drinks, taxis and the spontaneous chaos that always happens.
Albufeira runs on holiday time:
- Bars often go until 2–4am
- Clubs go until 5–6am
- The Strip starts getting busy around 10–11pm
- Peak time = midnight to 3am
If you want a “quiet night”… don’t go out it’s as simple as that. There is no “going out for one” in Albufeira.
Just a few simple ones to keep the vibes high:
- Drinking on the street happens but be respectful — police will step in if things get too rowdy.
- Noise rules are more enforced in Old Town than on The Strip.
- Beaches at night are fun but keep an eye on your stuff.
- Don’t buy random drinks or shots off the street (no one needs that type of mystery).
Stick to proper bars and clubs, behave enough to stay out of trouble, and the week will be elite.
