Where is the Magaluf Strip?

The Magaluf strip is located on the west side of the Island of Majorca. It is located about 30-40 mins drive from the main airport in Palma. The strip sits on a road just off Carrer Punta Ballena.

The strip runs adjacent to the beach in Magaluf with many of the bars like oceans beach bar having a view of the beach itself.

Unlike some of the strips in our other resorts, the traffic is closed off at night, so it’s perfect for walking up and down at night, but just remember if you’re getting a late flight in and your hotel is based around the strip, your journey may take longer and cost a bit more due to other routes being taken.

You’ll meet the reps on your first day who will be able to give you the lowdown on where everything is and you’ll get used to it in no time!

The Magaluf strip and surrounding areas are filled with things to do throughout the day. If you’re not feeling to fragile and want to venture out then shopping and go karting are just a few of the things you can do. Or if you’re wanting a bit more from your days on holiday then why not take a trip to the neighbouring town of Palma Nova, where you can visit popular attractions like water parks, crazy golf and Palma Nova beach.

If you are feeling a bit fragile and in need of a day of doing nothing then the Magaluf beach is the perfect place to go. Situated adjacent to the strip and right in the middle of it all it’s not too far from most hotels. Or if you just fancy chilling at your hotel pool and enjoy getting away from your normal 9 to 5 for a bit then we don’t blame you, unless you’ve got an event on of course.

A lot of the shops (especially tobacco shops) close quite early in Magaluf, so take advantage of the days by stocking up on hotel essentials – especially your water.

Hotels near the Magaluf Strip

Magaluf is full of hotels to host thousands of people each and every year. It is one of our busiest resorts so make sure you get your holiday booked up to avoid disappointment, as some of the more popular hotels can sell out, fast.

You’ll be charged a Tourist Tax when checking in. This amount is dependent on the star rating of the hotel, the number of nights you are staying and the number of rooms booked. The amount is not typically more than 5 euros per night. It’s also very normal in party resorts for hotels to charge a returnable room deposit. These room deposits are typically €50 euros per person and returned to you after your stay (providing you haven’t had the paint party in your room!). You’ll get these deposits back after the hotel staff give your room a check over when you check-out so don’t go too hard the night before – give yourself plenty of time to check-out and get to the airport.

More than likely, there will be a damages list in your room. You don’t want to blow your spending money on any new furniture so treat the place with respect. After all, this is going to be your home for the week.
