Not just any paint party, Malia’s biggest paint party. We don’t know who would come up with the concept of getting people together at a party and blasting them with litres of multicoloured paint, but it works. Maybe poor little Greg fell off a ladder one day at his shift at B&Q, into a Dulux rack and thus the idea was born. If you’ve never been to a paint party you’re in for a treat. Hosts and DJs get the crowd going before being blasted by litres of UV paint. You’ll leave looking like an Art Attack “here’s one I made earlier” creation. If you don’t want to get your clothes ruined there are boiler suits provided, but the smarter of you will be thinking, I’ll just wear something I don’t really care about, because you know, it’s a paint party.
Getting covered in paint is inevitable so don’t wear anything you don’t want to get ruined. If you know you’re going to Malia and attending a paint party then get yourselves a cheap t-shirt, cheap shoes and cheap pair of swimming shorts, then you can just chuck the whole lot away after. Or keep it and frame it for the memories.
You won’t need to bring anything apart from yourselves and other essential items. Just be aware that paint (like water) is wet. You can get plastic protectors on the strip for things like your phone. But we wouldn’t recommend just keeping things in your pockets as they may get damaged.
Does the paint stain: No, the paint is very water based and washes off very easily. It may tint lighter coloured hair for a few days, but who doesn’t want to be that weirdo with 5 colours in their hair?
Hotels and Paint: Most of the hotels (understandably) don’t want paint covered sheets. As soon as the paint party is finished go back and shower and avoid touching anything in your room. You don’t want unnecessary charges from the hotel.
